Except that it isn't. Fastest GM? Sure. Fastest production car? Nope. That goes to the Shelby (no relation to Carol) Ultimate Aero TT. 6.3L twin turbo LS6 making ~1200 hp, in a 2800 lb car. It has gone over 257 mph, they say its upper limit is around 275.
