waste of money. Those piuses have held their value because of high gas prices, which negates the point of getting something fuel efficient for 2-3 years. I average 38 mpg in that little Saturn. That includes rush hour traffic. If I buy a hybrid I might save 10% on gas, perhaps 15% against something more . . . interesting. So for me, its hardly worth it. Plus repairs and maintenance are very expensive on those.

Oh some of you may be wondering why am I getting rid of that Saturn? Well its getting on in age and mileage and the family doesn't have a spare car at the moment. They will get their car back (they bought it back in 1998) and it will be their second car, again. I'm planning on to getting something that is more than an A to B commuter car, but still gets good mileage. Thats what led me to the Grand Am, and the Cobalt Turbo also fits the bill
