The Hemi is a real nice reliable engine, so nice in fact that its been in the Wards Top 10 Best Engines 6 times from 2003-2009
Fords Modular has done better (8 times from 2000-2009) but that aint the point ( or the fact that chevys only been in there 1 time since 2000, with their 6.0). The point is that there are a few hiccups hear and there, just like some of the L99's putting down sub par power. Car companies screw up from time to time.
