I work at the local grocery store. There we have a slight problem with flies in the case where we keep the doughnuts. My 2 co-managers made an obvious joke to put these Venus fly-traps we sell in the doughnut case. My boss thought is was such a great idea so he put one in there. That's not the best part.As you would guess, it's a health code violation. But anyway, he thought that the plant would die if the flies didn't land on it, so he put pieces of doughnuts in the plant pot to feed the Venus if it was hungry. He also said that the flies would be attracted to it(rather than the dozens of whole doughnuts in there) and the Venus fly-trap would lunge at the flies.
Okay, everyone should know that the fly-trap is carnivorous and doesn't eat doughnuts. Any time I get pissed I just think of this and it makes me laugh.
