You could have just said that in the beginning and made this a lot easier on everybody.

That was a bit uncalled for. You not liking what I have to say hardly makes me a troll. The sad part of all of this is that, while I'm obviously a Mustang guy, the reason I'm here is because....
a: I'm glad the Camaro is back since both bench racing and actual racing are a lot less interesting with V6 Eclipses, Tiburons, and Honda Civics.
b: I'm interested in how the Camaro will stack up against the 2011 Mustangs, and I threw in some Mustang info because I figured some Chevy guys might be interested in what Ford has up their sleeve for 2011 for that same reason.
Of course, as with all forums you get those who instantly slam everybody who isn't a strict devotee. But that is hardly a surprise and I expected the same.
My hope is that there are some how gleaned something from what I have had to say. I have been careful to keep what I expect of the 2011 Mustang separate in an effort to make certain that everything I have reported as rock solid is exactly that. I've also been careful not to insult the Camaro since, as a group, this is your house. As a Ford guy I've heard virtually every disparaging joke about GM and/or the Camaro you can imagine. I wouldn't go into another guys house and make fun of his wife's cooking, and I'm not going to come on your forum and trash your car. That is what Mustang forums are for.
As for the info I've given, part of the reason I find the 2011 Mustang-5th gen Camaro comparison as interesting as I do is because of how close the power to weight ratios appear likely to be. When I take what I personally expect of the 2011 Mustang GT (read: NOT rock solid) given everything I know...I believe we are going to see a car which produces 415-425hp, 370-380lb-ft of torque, and which weighs somewhere between 3600-3650lb in base V8 trim with a 6-speed manual. FIgure power to weight on that and the Camaro and you come up with a very close comparison....and that should make for a very interesting 2011MY.
