I wouldn't say all is lost, very impressive showing from the 5.0 in that video. I'd still wait till we get a larger sample of real world results before any final judgment is passed. Mustang could really be that good, but there are too many variables to say from sure from one race.
Driver mod can be a killer even on an auto. Not only did the Camaro driver seem to not have it, but the Mustang driver seemed to have lots of it, excellent launches both times. If anything I bet with a solid axle out back the Mustang is going to be much more consistent than the SS.
