As far as the asvab, most of it is common sense really, its easy. the part that scared me was the math. I've been out of school since 2003 and I haven't done any complicated math since. If I had been fresh out of school I probably would of scored a lot higher. I still did excellent according to the Sgt. I scored a 72 on the asvab and my MM score was a 139, my GT score was a 123, EL score was 122, and my CL score was a 110. MM is mechanical maintenace, no suprise on that score since I've been swinging wrenches my whole life. GT is general technical, again no suprise lol. EL is electrical which was a suprise I got a good score cause I never really did a whole lot of electrical work. CL is clerical, like office work basically, and and even though it wasn't my stongest score its still above average from what I'm told. My scores cleared me to do whatever job I want in the Marines. If you have any common sense and know your way around a shop you'll do fine. Your gonna HATE going through MEPS though lol. You will be poked, prodded, felt up, violated, and its from about 5am to 6pm so bring a book and be prepared for a long day cause there is no sleeping at MEPS.
Math is the only thing im worried about to, im good with everything else though.
