Well, they have spend 10 years on the thing. If it had a normal development time, it would have been out 5 about years ago and been somewhat more impressive, and maybe less costly too (but no way would it ever have dipped under $150k).

The point, I think, is to go and show the world 'hey, lookie what we can do'. Not the smartest way I can think of to waste a decade and hundreds of millions of dollars ...
