Parris Island here I come...

Well I enlisted in the USMC, I'm very excited about it. For 6 years I thought about it but kept getting cold feet when it came to talking to a recruiter. Well I finally was put in a position where I had to either step up to the challenge or continue down a road that led nowhere I wanted to be. I've learned a lot about the Corp over the past few weeks, got my asvab and meps out of the way. My recruiters office holds PT every Thursday and I went twice so far and intend to go every Thursday till I ship out late this year. I need to work on running, my legs aren't used to it, haven't ran since high school and I'm 24 now. Pull ups, push ups, and crunches aren't a problem for me. My question for the members already in the Corp is what is boot camp like really? I'm a little nervous I won't be able to keep up with the running. I do plan to run everyday to try to get good at it but are the DI's gonna try to run me into the ground? If I stick to my plan of running I probably won't have a thing to worry about, my recruiter thinks I'll do fine on my IST and be able to smoke the 13:30 required to do 1.5 miles, but I had to ask. Any stories about boot camp will be appreciated though. Semper Fi!
