I think the key here is the 16 to 19 age curve.
As DandDC09, (or wife) said, it is not an easy thing to develope with an age difference. It takes patience and a real desire. And even then, the odds are against you. That being said, that patience and desire ain't happening with a 16 yo. and the odds are even worse.
