And just so you follow what you said, the next time you get pulled over, PLEASE tell the officer to give you a ticket, because "As such, they should not only enforce them but also serve as role models." So a ticket would show them being role models, right?
....and quit pointing out one man's mistake, and group him with ALL officers. Officers in general deserve close to, if not just as much respect as soldiers in the army. They get out there, and literally sacrifice their lives each day, just so you can come onto a forum and slander them, and compare them to one .... up.

I know that they deserve respect. I have family members and neighbors who are cops, actually detectives. So yes, I know that they deserve respect. And I'm not trying to group them with one .... up.
What I'm saying is just like everybody else, they should follow the laws. Yet whenever I see a cop car, they never follow the laws.
.... Because what you're saying is it's perfectly normal for police officers to turn their lights and sirens on for lunch time, go to a donut shop order a few donuts and coffee and sit down and talk to each other for hours. There is no emergency in the donut shop as I'm hanging out in there too and I'd see it.
And in my opinion, they deserve more respect than soldiers only for the reason that they are on the front lines here protecting us. Otherwise who knows how much crime would be going on and if we'd be innocent bystanders.
That however does not mean that they have the right to get away with breaking laws because they are human. If a civilian were to break a law, then they would arrest the person. But if a cop speeds because he wants to, then he can get away with it.
