Then let me be clear, you have Not been singled out. People on both sides were given warnings but you are the only one who continues to feel like you have to defend and announce that you are being asked to play by a certain rule.... It isn't because you are mustang owner. It is because your post history is clearly biased to mustang only threads.
And you do nothing to extinguish the debate but more often encourage it due to the nature of your posts.
Give the more knowledgeable camaro owner a chance to police our own... You might be surprised at how quickly we come to the defense of the Mustang...
Quite frankly, I made that statement because I figured you'd take offense at my interpretation of your earlier post. Given that you seem to be at your wits end about all the posts involving the Ford Mustang on this forum, I really thought it could have been my last post before I was banned.
If you thought I would take offense then why did you post it?????
I take offence to 99% of your posts. But that isn't how this site is moderated. In fact most of the people on this board probably take offence to your posts because of your sig without ever having gotten to know you.
You may not care, but I've done a lot in the past on your behalf behind the scenes. I've received numerous PM's complaining about you and other mustang warriors. All of which are angry with the Mods for even allowing you to post here at all....
Yeah, having rules is a good thing. As a past co-administrator of another automotive forum and moderator on others, it's a must of you want to have a board that is not complete anarchy. What rule was it again, exactly, that I broke to warrant the infraction? Or was the infraction to serve notice that unless I heed your suggestion on what kind of content I post, there will be even more dire consequences?
See my post above that is the rule. To reiterate. "if you are here for the purpose of defending your car with little or no participation or objective discussion outside of the "my car Vs. your car" threads. You will ultimately be asked to leave."
You can argue semantics if you like. And yes a lot of that is left to interpretation. So this is your notification that your current approach to posting here at Camaro5 will eventually get you peramenetly removed from the site.
FWIW.
Are a majority of my posts in threads discussing a Mustang or, more specifically, the GT500? Yes. Are those the only threads I post in? No. Is my intent on this site to:
See above... semantics.
No, but where is the harm in correcting obviously false or fabricated information that is presented on the site if you are able to provide factual data? For those who are die-hard GM fans and hate everything Blue Oval, that's their prerogative, but you wold think they would at least want to know the truth about their "competition". The great Chinese military leader and author of "The Art of War", Sun Tzu, once said:
YOU NEED TO FIGURE THIS PART OUT. You are a mustang guy on a camaro form. In the end this site is in existence to serve the camaro community NOT the mustang community. This site is popular with camaro owners and they are the reason this site exists. So in the end you will have to conform to the way this site is run. We will not sacrifice our Camaro enthusiast’s experience here for the sake of a few mustang guys that have minimal exposure outside of mustang threads. It's not fair but it is the truth of how this site works. Again, get used to it. I don't know how else to say it.
Knowledge is a great thing. Too bad many people just don't want to learn anything, especially if that knowledge comes from someone they consider "the enemy" or whom they think less of because they do not choose to drive the same make or model of vehicle they have chosen. It's one thing to be an enthusiast of the Camaro and appreciate its qualities. It is another thing altogether when someone thinks they have been annointed by God-almighty as the ruler of all things pony/musclecar because they elected to put one in their garage.
"enemy" your words not mine... I prefer rival... semantics....
yes we have immature and uninformed members here. It isn't your job to keep them in check. It's mine. And again this site is for the Camaro owner. Not the mustang owner. You are welcome here but in the end you are not one of us... you are a muscle car enthusiast to be sure... and from that there is a bond for sure. Again let us police ourselves... you might be pleasantly surprise. Forgive me for making an assumption here. But I don't think you have any other reason for being here other than to correct the mistruths about the mustang... if you did you would have take my multiple PM's seriously when I asked you to knock it off. Even after an official warning you still have trouble acknowledge a very simple request.... Again if you are confused please see my above quoted post again... That is the area you are in violation of.
If it was really my intent to get banned, I don't think i would have any issues presenting a rock-solid reason for you or any other moderator to do so. Here again, with a statement like this, you are making it seem like you are just wanting me, even encouraging me, to act out of character so you can administer some sort of internet punishment.
NO! I want you to heed my warning. I don't need a reason to ban you. I could have banned you at any time and I would have been thanked by numerous people for doing so. Instead I take shit for you all the damn time. All I'm asking is for you to help me out!!! Stop acting as the patron saint of the mustang. Why is it sound advice for Camaro owners to ignore mustang threads if they upset them... But you can't take that same advice. If you don't like those threads then just stay out. If you are sick of seeing misinformation then stay away.... Why are you any different... why are you entitled to be the voice of reason when you don't like what you see posted but Camaro owners should stay out???
Believe me, if I didn't enjoy this board, the people on it and appreciate the car it is devoted to, I would not be here. Unfortunately, for some on here who just can't stand the fact that I own a Ford product yet continue to be present on a GM-centric message board, I still find the reasons to continue to participate outweigh the reasons to never visit the site again. If/when that changes, nobody will need to ban me just so they do not have to read my posts any more. I'll just simply stop visiting the site. I certainly am not looking to be any sort of martyr over something as trivial as an unpopular opinion/comment made on an internet message board.
