The ZR1 is similar, in that it's an exotic, but it's basically a base Corvette using exotic parts (I know that's a stretch... BACK-OFF!  )

FORD: "I need 500 custom built chassis for a custom car."
GM: "I need 50,000 Corvette chassis, and build 500 of them out of Titanium instead of aluminum."
Or... If you order 1,000,000 ipods, you'll get a better 'per each' price than if you order 10.
Ford would have to build a factory just for that car, then hope the sales were there. GM kicked their butt in sales back in the 2 seater T-bird era, so Ford don't want any more of that @ss whoopin LOL |
