Find a different dealer, cause the one he talked to is clueless. Think about it for a second, if this was true, using the GTR to get people to consider other Nissans, is not very smart. If someone is willing to spent 80k and up for a supercar, I don't think he's interested in seeing a Maxima. Give me a break! What this dealer expects you to believe is that Nissan spent millions of dollar maybe over 100 million I don't know, to produce a car that is only a marketing gimmick. There are several GTR haters on this forum, and I for one wish they would just appreciate the car for what it is. I am not accusing the originator of this post as being one, but you can see some of them have been more than willing to opine.

There is NO WAY Nissan would risk the reputation of the most iconic car it has, to some ill-advised marketing idea.

By the way, in the month of August alone, I saw 2 brand new GTR's being driven. The cars are out there, but 1500 in one year is not many spread across the US.
