Just a suggestion, but imo, the members classified section is pretty open to scams.
Also you may want to state something along the lines of :
"First and foremost - Buyer beware! Camaro5.com is not liable for any transactions made via the forum."
And here are some rules I think can benefit this forum. Sorry if I posted a suggested rule that is already one.
- All sellers are required to post at least 1 picture of each item listed in his/her classified ad to verify ownership of said item(s). In doing so, however, the picture must contain a slip of paper with the seller's Camaro5.com username and date, name and date must be clearly visible. While this does not prove without a doubt that the seller owns the said items, it will minimize/reduce the possibility of potential scams. Keep in mind that in these times, not having any access to some sort of digital camera is not an excuse. Any and all threads that do not adhere to this new rule will be deleted without prior notice or warning.
- No double threads, you get one thread per item. Making multiple threads for the same item in two forums or the same forum will get you a warning, then a ban
- Each thread must have a price, description and contact method for each item.
- Do not link to other for sale threads. If you want to post up an item for sale, make sure there is a full description in the thread you created. Threads with links to other threads will be deleted and a warning issued.
- Combine threads for like areas. If you have 10 items to sell in the engine section, create 1 thread with all 10 items. This will help keep the classifieds less clustered.
- If your item is sold simply state that it has been sold.
- No more than 1 daily bump is needed in a thread. Excessive bumping can lead to removal of said thread.
- No direct linking to Ebay auctions without completely listing all of the details in the thread. If you want to link, copy and paste the auction info at least.
Just my $0.02.. Take it with a grain of salt.
