Thanks all. Yes 8 year olds. Youngest I've seen is 4 but our best wrestler started right before his 3rd birthday. This is my kids 2nd year and they love it. As a parent it gets very intense. My wife has to force herself to watch and does it from as far away as possible. We've met nicer people at wrestling than any other sport. I've had parents and coaches from other schools help coach one of my kids when they've both been up at the same time. The kids all make friends and will pal around until match time. Then they will beat the hell out of each other and be back to friends after the match. We've even been going to other schools practices getting ready for this tournament and the coaches treat them like their own wrestlers while were there. Seems to be pretty common in wrestling. My brother had similar stories from when he was doing it in high school and now again as a coach
