TFORD, If I could offer any advice on a motorcycle for a noob, it would be this.... Get yourself a dual sport bike and get out in the woods and dirt trails and learn how not to bust your ass. If you wipe out, there is a lesson learned and you can apply that to the street when you get a street-bike. Go down in the dirt and little to no damage to you or your bike. Go down on the street and that asphalt becomes 180 grit sandpaper to you and your bike. If your a good off road rider, you will make a savy street rider. I've done plenty of both since age 12 and honestly, I feel safer on a bike than in a car on fair weather days. Oh, and don't start with a Hayabusa.
