GM has always offered incentives, including ones called Conquest, meaning that GM wants a piece of someone else's pie. Incentives, known as sales in other industries, are about as normal as seeing clouds in the sky.

Everyone, please remove your tin foil hats. There's no conspiracy. It's a catastrophic failure on the part of Toyota, and we have every right and obligation for our own safety and that of our families to hold Toyota accountable so that these incidents do not continue. I don't want to have a runaway Toyota kill one of my loved ones, and I don't want anyone else to suffer that fate already suffered by too many involved in accidents with runaway Toyotas.
Indeed, Toyota can cry foul all they want, i think it was Ford that last year was offering incentives to Chrysler and possibly GM owners for switching to a Ford, seems like during or after their bankruptcies. It's a dog eat dog world out there and right now Toyota is the Chihuahua that's in trouble because it pooped on the Carpet and tried to hide it under the rug.
