Personally, if my car started doing that and I couldn't turn it off, put it in neutral, AND the brakes weren't working, I'd be looking for the nearest guardrail and just GRIND that sucker to a stop. At that point I really wouldn't care about the damage to the paint, as I'd be making more than enough money on the pending lawsuit to buy a new car
