It would seem that Cerberus wants to unload Chrysler regardless.

Honestly, I think GM would protect the Chrysler heritage much more effectively than either Nissan on Renault, but at the end of the day, if GM decides that they're unable to purchase Chrysler without endangering themselves financially, then that kinda stinks, but GM has to survive, and I'm confident that they will, but touch decisions have to be made to insure that.
