What makes you think the 5.0 won't be boost friendly? Ford designed that motor with thick bulkheads, forged crank, AND provisions for an ecoboost package. They knew people where gonna play with this motor and did build it for boost. Someone posted a pretty in depth article on the 5.0 here I think and it explains pretty well about this motor. They even designed it with DI provisions.
