Ever since I bought the Camaro I have purposely slowed down and made a point to set the cruise and stay in 5th or 6th gear. I usually stay around 7-8 over now. I hate getting passed all the time but the bottom line is that this car turns heads and that is universal. If it's turning the heads of kids that recognize it from a movie, chicks, soccer moms, whoever it is also catching the attention of officers who are paid to be vigilant.

My weakness is not speeding but I can't help but to accelerate fast. So let me ask those officers who have already added to this discussion:

If I do not exceed the speed limit or only do so by a few miles an hour can I be pulled over for hard acceleration (without tire burning)??? Technically doing nothing wrong.
I'm not an officer, but most jurisdictions refer to that as something like "exhibition of power."
