That's not saying it's right to not allow dissension, anyone on here can feel however they want about anything, as long as they're respectful of everyone else while doing it. Like I said before, I trust the mods to make the right decisions and it really is simple positive reinforcement-- would you want to continue to give insider info and special opportunities to a site that continually leaked info and made accusations against your company? No. So I think in a way, yes, we are preserving something. We are preserving our relationship with GM by recognizing when something becomes disrespectful to them and acknowledging that we do respect them by stopping it. Dissent all you want, just be respectful about it. There were some flat-out accusations happening in that thread. And you'll notice that all the other open threads (including the political ones!) have people that both agree and disagree, but they're always careful to state that it's their opinion, or to maturely acknowledge the opinion and intelligence of whomever they're disagreeing with.
This was really long but I think it needed to be said. And no, I'm not digging back at you either.
*Edit: Oh yeah, and I think it's also about preserving the atmosphere of this site; we are not harsh-worded people on here and it was starting to come to that.

Definitely didn't take it as a dig. I appreciate the explanation. Thanks
