No one had to contact GM with the info. Scott is the GM employee who found out. He decided to act on it rather than let it die here in the forums. I deleted it right away. I PM'd Scott with and told him I was sorry and didn't realize that it was confidential. We received an email from our GM rep with the info and were told to let our customers know. Thats what I did. I work in the internet department.
More info is posted in fbodfathers post about leaks. I posted and it was closed.

This is an automotive forum. We appreciate GM insiders who give us insight into GM policy, products, and direction. Fbodfather really delivers the goods and proves himself as an enthusiast. He was a major contributor to the return of the Camaro. This entire community would not exist without fbodfather's contributions outside of this community.
I don't know much about either of you, but I can deduce a lot more about fbodfather based on his participation on the forum. What I do know is that you lost your job. That is really regrettable because losing you, for those of us in the Midwest, is losing a potential dealer contact. You were high on my list of dealers to meet because you proved your credibility. What I can tell from fbodfather is that he has contributed a lot to this community and has brought a lot of this community's concerns and ideas back to GM.
None of us want to pit you two against one another. We don't want to lose you KarlChev.
