You can set thread subscriptions to instant, daily, weekly, or none. This will apply to every thread you post in. Additionally, there are manual options. You can subscribe to any sub-forum and receive daily or weekly notification, this is accesed under "forum tools" and you can subscribe to individual threads without posting in them under "thread tools". Lastly, if you want to change subscriptions for an individual thread you are posting in (such as having a general setting of daily, but following a particular topic weekly or instantly) you can change it under 'go advanced' and scroll down below the text window.
