Depends on how you look at it. Toyota is traded on the NYSE and I think at least one of my mutual funds in my 401k holds some Toyota stock. That means Toyota is at least partially owned by your fellow Americans. Since they even pay a dividend, that means at least some of the profits are coming back here.
In any event does it really matter when the end result is Americans drawing a steady paycheck? I'm not a fan of Toyota and their appliance cars myself, but I don't take it to the point of wanting to put Americans out of a job.
People don't think about those things though. A great example is everybody blew their stack about executives buying jets after the bailouts. Companies cancels jet orders and the end result is Cessna lays off 2500 real people who were drawing real paychecks.
