Keep in mind when you here 100,000 miles this 100,000 miles for a VERY severe customer. It is way more abuse than you or I will do.
Also 100,000 miles does not mean that is how long the vehicle is expected to last in the hands of that verysevere customer, it is the point where we judge reliability. GM expects your car will likely last well beyond 100,000 miles.
For example the only way to put the number of doors slams that GM does is if you ran a Camaro UPS delivery service. LOL
