The target market population is probably close to the TOTAL population of the US (300 millionish). That is a HUGE amount of money to be made, even if they lose some of it from tariffs they still make a good amount of profit.

I don't think you understand. It is almost impossible for Ford or GM to sell a car in china. End of story. They are taxed so badly that chinese can't afford them (considering a lot of chinese people do NOT drive cars..) If they buy a car, they pay less than 10K for the crappy chinese cars. End of story. It was a huge debate with the Obama GOP meeting.
