Yes. I would agree.
The playing field, after this very long time...is finally level. Or about as level as it's going to get. The foreign makes are either bland in vehicle lineup, or in deep legal/quality trouble. And people are being
forced to realize this thanks to the gov't issuing forced recalls and warnings to drives. Not only that, but GM and Ford are giving people a truly legitimate reason to turn away from the foreign makers. They are COMPETITIVE, hell -- they are CLASS-LEADING!!!
There will always be the crazies who will cling to toyota and friends like scripture. But for the vast majority, the people in the middle who just want to percieve a good vehicle: They've got dark clouds of recalls and corruption on one hand, and a clear blue sky of new, outstanding vehicles backed by companies asking for that second chance. Sales reports will reflect this year, I think, which choice they've made.
And you've all seen the upcoming vehicles for GM and Ford...this momentum is going to keep going well into this decade!! The best we can hope for is that they "stay the course".
