I know some will look at this from a narrow perspective and go "hey, see the Corvette sucks!!! Selling in very low numbers"
But if you broaden your view just a teeeny tiny bit, you will remember that the Corvette is not a need but a want. And over the past year and a half, a lot of "I wants" have had to wait.
Look at Harley Davidson..............they ended Buell and sold their new Italian brand they had just purchased. Why? No one is blowing money on toys right now. And the Corvette and other performance cars are considered toys.
This has a lot more to do with the economy than it does with the Corvette.
And I respect your thoughts on it looking like a C5, but having worked on the C6, it is too different in too many ways to be be considered a C5 without the pop up headlamps. Where it is similar (not identical) is in the powertrain and chassis. But even the purists thought it was a C5.5, not a C6, so that argument will probably never be resolved.
