I had to help a few family members with the transition 6 months ago. The process was extremely confusing for them.
I never heard anything.

As of Dec18, 09 this is all they have sent me about it, to my main email account with them.

[How I found out is you get 6 other sub email addresses, that got the your about to be deleted message. Lucky I bothered to check them closer, then the usually delete all as its 99% spam on them sub accounts. But they don't bother to send me a letter or email to my main att.net account with them??? Guess that what I get for years of on time payments.]

Upcoming Changes to Your AT&T Worldnet Account

Dear AT&T Worldnet® Member,

To provide you with the best Internet experience possible, your current AT&T Worldnet service will be consolidated with our other AT&T Internet services in 2010. This will allow us to provide you with our most advanced features, as well as future enhancements.

In 2010 AT&T Worldnet will cease offering services; however, you will be eligible for comparable AT&T Internet Services. We are working to make sure that the process will be as seamless as possible - allowing you to move your AT&T Worldnet service to another AT&T internet service while maintaining your Worldnet email account and other important information.

In order to avoid any billing conflicts, there will no longer be a monthly charge for AT&T Worldnet on your bill, starting in December 2009. If you choose another AT&T Internet Services plan, charges will resume in accordance with your selected plan.

You don't need to take any action now, but be sure to check your email regularly for instructions on making the transition. All the details will be sent to the email address that we have on file for you. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 1-800-400-1447. [DON'T CALL 1hr hold times]

In the meantime, continue to enjoy your AT&T Worldnet service as you have in the past. We appreciate your membership and look forward to offering you an even better Internet experience in 2010.

Sincerely,
AT&T Internet Services
