yes the game has its ups and downs. the arcadey feel of the old NFS games is mostly gone, and physics are down to earth now. the driving feels good and setting up your car makes a LOT of difference for a change. but the performance modding is still "I got tier 4 parts, no decision making involved because my decisions dont matter." and there are still a lot of joke races, like drifting which has a broken judging system (both in real life and the game), and even drag racing goes for a show at points seeing who can hold a wheelie for the longest. i opt for simulation games like Forza and Gran Turismo, though ive beaten the entire NFS series too.
