Yea godzilla of bargins... more like the the fountain of youth.. great dream, but unattainable.
They want to keep the demand high to wring out every bit of interest for their car and company. According to an article I read regarding the Spec-V, the GT-R isn't exactly a money maker for Nissan. The cost of development and production (I guess) is so high that when they sell them they don't make a lot of money. So the Spec-V which is supposed to be a lightened and more powerful version of the GTR won't come to the states for a model year or two until sales start slowing down. That way they don't flood the market and have tons of them on lots. It's not a bad idea really and I'm pretty sure my local Chevy dealer has 2 sitting on the showroom floors that haven't sold. So they're there if you want them but I'm sure that's not doing good things for the Chevy dealer and who knows about what it does for GM.
