Yeah, GM is very infamous for its platform sharing. Although all auto companies do it. While it does help spread out costs, saves money and offers more choices to the consumer, GM started getting too addicted to it throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's and with some vehicles like the Lambda minivans... There literally wasn't any difference between the vehicles besides the brands that were on them. GM has gotten away from this however and I look at their current Lambda vehicles, the Outlook, Enclave, Acadia & Traverse. They are all on the same platform, yet they all look distinct and unlike one another. That's what GM needs to keep doing.

I know the rumors have all pretty much been shot down and it looks like there will not be a Pontiac Firebird variant of the Camaro, but it makes you wonder what would happen if one came out?
