hey,

I have a '95 cav z24 (2.3l engine) and apparently I have a coolant leak right next to the thermostat. The guy at the car shop said it was about $300 to fix it and I said "No thanks" (I'm not putting any more money in this thing

) but of course I forgot to let him show me where exactly it is.
I'm not much of a car-technician, but as far as I know the thermostat is inside some metal thing bolted with two or three bolts. I just can't find it. Do I have to look for it from underneath the car or can I find it from just opening the hood?
