I don't know how people keep coming up with ideas that the Mustang is going to weigh less that it currently does. Current platform doesn't come close to meeting new safety standards, and that adds a alot of weight.

Even if they use weight saving parts all over (which they would have to just to keep the weight where it is now, much less lighter) that would skyrocket the sticker price, which is not the Mustang's M.O., always being known for cheap performance.
