I want to thank YOU for serving us here at home!!!...
My Dad was a Volunteer Fireman for our hometown for 60 YEARS until he passed away in 2008...he was honored for his 60 yrs just 6 months before he died...
I think he was hanging on for that milestone, because for 3 yrs prior to that time, he kept saying to me, "I just want to get my 60 yrs, and then I am ready to pack it in", and that is EXACTLY what happened...................
But, I am thankful that he got his awards and accolades for his many yrs of service to our community...
