Hoff was in the movie/pilot.
I liked the movie last year, but this new show is awful. The original show was about a guy and his car, and occasionally he called in a favor from his friends (Devon, Bonnie/April).
This show is about a guy, his girlfriend, a group of super scientists with an unlimited budget, the FBI, 007 gadgets, his gun (Hoff never needed a gun), an airplane, his car, his super car, and his truck. KITT is supposed to be just at the line of what you can believe technology can do, not the ridiculous/impossible tricks, like somehow fitting a 4 door F150 inside a Mustang, or using a satellite to view a car, in real time, from the front. And don't get me started on the plot holes :(.
I really, really wanted to like the show, but they are making all the mistakes that made Team Knight Rider suck. (BTW, you can watch the abomination that is TKR, free (and legal) at
