If this happens anyway, why do environmentalists claim that humans are to blame? The answer is more complicated than the question. Basically, humans have introduced new toxins to the world since the mass-industrialization of the world. Every country has factories, and factories are not natural. They create compounds and chemicals that do not occur naturally in the numbers that they now appear. The environmentalists aren't really saying that the warming of Earth is all human. They are saying that humans are making it worse and breaking Earth's equilibrium. We don't know what will happen if we break the equilibrium, and that scares people educated on the subject.
There are people who study Earth for their entire lives. Why is it that some people claim to know it all after watching a single news report? All of us here on the forum should accept that there are experts on a lot of different things here. To my knowledge, no one has come forward claiming to be an environmental expert, yet a lot of opinions have developed based on misinformation inspired by politics more than science. Trust the science. Ignore the politics.

because it gets them air time. and if you cant show results right away, you are a fraud (or at least thats the mentality of the news reporting these issues).
just like the new superstring theory (that isnt really new) that astrophysicists are working on. 10,20 years ago, no one would be caught dead working on it, cus it was believed to be a fools errand. now its paving the way to unlocking the keys of the universe. its all a fad.

this world has already gotten crappy. and unfortunately, everyone (individuals to nations) is so focused on their individual needs/wants that they are unwilling to completely lay down their barriers and work completely with others.
It has been told to us that global warming would have led to many deaths and catastrophic global sea risings within 50 years from 10 years ago. Now all of a sudden it's a mini ice-age.
the warming of climate change, melting the caps will change the north atlantic current severely which would lead to a mini ice age. its cyclic.
I see what you are saying and that's fine, but we are being governed in a manner as if they knew for a fact what was happening. Scare tactics and such. I'm just saying it pisses me off. If they were so serious about it, why don't we force the rest of the world into compliance?

fact is, the planet is changing, always has, always will. right now, we are on the verge of a change in global climate. we are almost to the top of the rollercoaster as it were. and keep in mind, it doesnt take much of a change in temp globally to trigger an ice age.
also, who can tell me when the last ice age in the
Southern Hemisphere was?
