The cinematography was beautiful! No CGI, the movie was filmed the old way. Right from the start, the sight of the Knights riding into battle that night, and seeing the breath from those horses...! In fact, all the battle scenes were fantastic!!! And at the end when Arthur kills Mordred...the sight of the blood on the armor and weapons was so visually captivating!!!

Finally, how could I fail to mention the outstanding soundtrack, which featured quite a bit of Richard Wagner!!!

And then there were the scenes of Guenevere and Lancelot.

The entire movie was wonderful, and it was the closest telling on film, of Malory's, Le Morte Darthur.
I remember when that first came on HBO. Probably around 1983. A big favorite among everyone I hung out with. I havent seen it in a long time. Thats one I have to get a copy of. Thanks for the reminder.
