Keep in mind that if this car offered a more powerful diesel then none of this would be an issue.... which is my point. I'm not arguing for the Tacoma as much as I am a midsized diesel truck option.
Plus those numbers appear to be grossly under rated. It says the towing capacity is 3500lbs, but in this review they drove one through the desert towing a 5000lb trailer and they said it did great.
