We have the SS and we aren't garaging it for winter, nor is ANYONE we know in this area. As far as the 100 more hp goes, you choose whether or not to engage in (what's the phrase that always makes me smile? Ah yes-) "spirited driving." It's common sense to me to be more cautious when there might be ice on the road (which there never is here, btw.) If you live in an area where you should garage it for winter, great, do so. If you have the means to maintain an extra car just to switch them out seasonally, fab. But the general atmosphere of many that "I know what's best for you even though I don't drive in your weather conditions" is silly.
