Its a US problem where we think a company isn't doing well unless it has constant growth, pumping out product 24/7 365 with 3 plants n each state where entire towns live off a plant.
That only works for a min in the big picture.
Should be like the old days again.
And here is were I dislike GM some for killing brands.
Go back to the old days where a dealers had maybe 7-8 cars and none were for sale. Your ordered and picked your car, nearly 100% custom if you want.
And then you wait for it to be built. And you still had all the brands.
GM would make mad money only selling what would sell and sell more as folks got what they really wanted instead of whats on the lot in most cases. And of course ya do make maybe 2-3% over demand so dealers can have a few popular optioned cars to sell on the spot to those with cash but the problem is that would kill even more jobs. Would be great for GM and us as buyers, but not as workers.
