just think of it this way, in 1965 a new Chevy Impala cost around $3500 (my dad bought one in 65 and still has the sticker) and you could get a new Vette for around $4,200.00, Now you can buy a new Impala for about $22,000 yet a Corvette is $50,000. If you could afford a Impala in 65 you could probably afford a Corvette.. Can you say that today?

You may not have 60k to spend on a car, but millions of people do, and that is the market GM preaches to with this car.

If the corvette were to flounder, GM wouldnt just loose buyers, they'd loose a whole market.

The, I have alot of money, but not enough to buy a porsche, but i still want to go really really fast, market.
