I'm a fellow Oklahomie, born and raised near Lawton. The company I drive for is the core carrier for a large retailer in Ochelata, Ok. Before this thread, if I was to see a Camaro smoldering on the shoulder in your area I would have stopped.
... After reading your post, I would still stop, especially if you have a rag hanging from your open hood. Why? Not because I'm an old school trucker. Because I was raised that way.

Why don't truckers stop anymore? If you were perceived as a low life scum by the majority of the population, would you stop?
