Well, having driven a truck for ten years myself, I actually overlooked it. Didn't notice it I guess. Ya, it is pretty stupid to say TDs are all lowlifes. I went out of my way to make sure people weren't inhibited by me. Our trucks were governed so passing could only be done at a certain speed and I wouldn't pass unless I knew I could get out of the way quickly. But some things trucks do that make people mad are not the TDs fault. There is an ignorance by the general public about what trucks can and can't do. Drivers don't do shit on purpose just to piss you off. They spend countless hours on the road and want to get home to see their family as soon as they can. It's the shittiest job I've ever had. Bar none. Some like it. I HATED it. But it paid the bills. And when I was on the road, it was a damn good paying job.
I doubt those trucks did that intentionally. I'll bet one of them had the strength he thought he would be able to pass easily and reallized after he was out there on the left that he didn't and then they hit a down slope and the truck that was passed was loaded or heavier (which is why he was getting passed so slowly) now had the ability to get his speed back. I have DONE IT before.
When you are loaded espec. heavy, you slow down on the up grades and speed up on the downs. No way to get around it. It's the laws of physics at work here. My guess, this is what happened. MC69, you know what I'm talking about.
OP, those guys weren't doing anything on purpose. Just bad timing.
