I hear ya, thanks for the advice. Some movies are just louder than others.. The system I got is the ONKYO HTS9100THX 7.1 Channel Home Theater System (Black).

For a theater in a box, it seems to have the best overall reviews, even compared to more expensive Bose speakers which seem to lack bass but have great clarity and fidelity. I'm a musician so I hear things most people don't look for when listening. I'm very picky. I bought the Ultimate Ears V10's inner earphones for example since they offer the best portable sound for the price. I can't afford the really really good stuff, but perhaps one day I will. Till then I think these THX Onkyo's will be just fine.
