What the hell did you think was going to happen? Start an intelligent discussion about the Challenger and you will receive intelligent responses (mostly). GM did to the Camaro what they typically do with cars in their fleet of popular heritage/stature; they take "cues," that's right "cues" from their previous generations of cars so they have some of the styling that made their cars what they were. Say, you could look at a Corvette from today and be asked to look at those Corvettes of 50 years ago and easily identify it. The cars are different but the cues are true to their style. The Camaro is no different. It wasn't supposed to be a retro car. If I wanted a Challenger from 40 years ago, I would have bought a '69 Challenger and not a carbon copy 2009.
The Camaro was infused with these "cues" and updated everything else about the car. The handling, performance, horsepower, On-Star, Bluetooth, heated seats. You name it. The Challenger, not even the SRT8 can hold a candle to the final product of what the Camaro is and will be. If you like the Challenger, then we're happy for you. If you are into 100% retro styling in the new era of American muscle, than you made the right choice. You only made somebody else a Camaro lover and likely they'll appreciate the car much more than you ever could. Stick with Dodge and get your trolling butt off these forums because sympathy is not what you are getting from any one of us and those that do can join you in your rude, sick, twisted and uninformed little world.
