Sorry, I walked away from it for a while. still the same, I got a hold of some parts from my friends computer, and replaced everything but the graphics card and the power supply just to see if I could narrow it down to a hardware problem, and It gave me the same results. So maybe a graphics card malfunction, It is the oldest part on my computer. Could the power supply be a problem if it still turns on?

I just thought of another problem that i discovered while messing with it. My DVD drive refused to open while the computer was supposedly on, so i started to take it out i removed the IDE cable connected to it, and "Presto" it opened right up. so my disc drive only opens when power only is connected to it, then when i plug the IDE cable back in, it refuses to open. It used to work fine.
