Texas is all about the passing game. They'd love to be able to run the ball but it's not who they are. Texas is a passing team who CAN run the ball. They are not a running team who can pass the ball like most teams in the SEC.
Bama would have a hard time matching up with Texas. The heart of Bama is their Defense, and the heart of their defense is defending the run. Problem is.... Texas wouldn't be trying to run the ball over them. They would be stretching the field with the pass. Now Bama has some good individual players in their secondary (Arenas) but their unit as a whole is above average at best. Far from the elite level of their run D. Texas would be able to pick apart their secondary giving them a good chance of winning...
Offensively Bama is much more simple as well. Their strategy is almost the same in every game... establish the run. Then work off play action. If they can establish the run against Texas (which they should be able to do) it will open up the play action and their Offense will roll. I don't have any faith in anything I've seen from Texas's Defense... they gave up 30+ to T A&M ....
Now Florida's heart is their defense as well. But unlike Alabama's defense which is specialized for stopping the run, UF has the #1 Pass defense, as well as the #1 scoring defense.... Colt McCoy will never have seen a defense in his college career better at defending the pass... And likely a defense with this much speed and talent at every position. Where Bama is physical Florida is fast, and where Bama thinks Run Florida thinks Pass. Both of our starting corners will play in the NFL... and our top corner is projected in the top 5.
Offensively Florida's offense is more complicated than Bama's. Tebow is sent to the line with 3 plays, he read's the defense, and picks one. Additionally there is the second dimension created by Tebow's ability to run if the pass play isn't open. I think Texas would have a harder time with Florida's offense because of the Tebow factor, as well as our offense being more complicated and harder to defend.
Now obviously any of the 3 teams could win it all once they are in the big game... you never know what kind of team will show up once the foot hits the ball. BUT, if you look at strategy and the athletes each team is putting on the field, I think Texas over Bama, Florida over Texas. |

However I will say this The Texas Team you Saw against aTm " That isnt our defense "
Why ? The Wr who got burned by every scoring Drive by a pass ( chykie brown )
isnt a Starter and only played because our best CB ( aaron williams ) reinjuried a knee in the Kansas game that happened in the okie st game. Coaches said he could have played aTm but they didnt want to push him.
aTm has a Wr on there team by the Name of Fuller....... Zeus Florida is good there is no doubt and yall have a lot of heart on your offense. You are indeed a Defensive ball club however I dont know a Wr on your team who ranks as high as Fuller and thats coming from ESPN and everyone else.
You have not watch any other Texas games this year so you cant answer this question......

Texas did not Rush "1" time the whole aTm game Not one time isnt that Odd ? Now could they have put preasure on aTm Qb? YES why didnt they ? I'm going to give him some credit he is a Great Qb with good legs he did get outside the pocket and move good but when he sat in the backfield he just stood there Kindle was dropping back. ASK TECH and OU and OKIE STATE kindle doesnt normally drop back.
Every team we played this year we rushed dam near every down why ? that is our Defense Rush every down. Rush Kindle and Muckelroy and every so often bring a saftey as well with Lamar houston "LB" keying the running back at all times.
I questioned this myself all weekend long asking Wtf why are we not playing like we have all year ?Then I heard Mondays Press confrence from Muschamp
Someone asked Coach you didnt use the normal shifty and Rush every down type defense last week with aTm are you showing something New now ?
He replied with......
" We know there may be a possible chance one day soon of playing another team with the same type of Offense. I was Told by an inside source it wouldnt be wise to Show our Wrinkles on National Tv just yet when we can probably get by in other ways and give locker room coaching help "
Zues we put Total preasure on OU's Line. When they did beat us it was with the short quick passes. We Rushed Every Down against Okie St We did the same to Mizzou.
What normally beats us ? 2 step drop 5 yard pass.
aTm showed up like they always do at Kyle field however dont judge that defense to who we are. we did the same thing in 05 kicked everyones ass and only beat aTm by 10 points at kyle field. Of course you are going to say you like what you saw since thats the only game you have seen.... I would to if thats all I knew of a team.
Understand we wont even show the real Defense against Nebraska because there type offense isnt anything like yalls lol we dont need style points as our coaches put it " just win "
As for our offense yes we are a passing team however dont say we cant run.
Texas is known for having a 1,000 yard back each year if we are not showing our normal 1,000+ yards a season type back we dont have a running game by the press and fans.
Amazing if you look at our yards at the end of a game we have well over 100 yards rushing just not from one back.
We have Tre Newton " Speed " We have PoWeR in Cody Johnson and we have speed and shiftness in Foswitt whitaker and then the one who comes in and takes a sudden punch because he is on the field vondrell mcgee coaches dont put one back in so teams wont know who to practice for.
We play them all at different times and shift them a lot.
Now you want to take shipley out of the game ? watch out for Williams or buckner deep or kirkendol across the middle we are loaded with WR's.
And dont let goodwin get on the outside GONE !!!!!!!! if DJ monroe gets reinstated woah lol
what is supposed to be our strong point or was at the first of the season Our off line they can be awsome or they can play iffy thats the big hmmmmmmmm.
The only thing im going to say sucks lately and we need to get it fixed kickoff coverage. giviing the ball at the 40 isnt cool.
